The Rapid Composers Consortium (RCC) was formed in June 2004 by a group of people from the efnet irc network on channel #midiwarez.
RCC was designed to get people making music again, instead of just acquring music making equipment and tools.
The original conecpt was simple, once a month nominate a single 24 hour period, and everyone has to create a song and upload it.
The original RCC ran for 25 consecutive months, ending in June 2006, the concept changed a couple of times with specific rules put in place or different challenges, but the concept of getting people to make music remained.
Now due to popular demand, RCC is back, this time it will be more automated and users will be able to use this site as they please.
