Please do not use triggers in the channel, #midiwarez is not a distribution channel, there are no offer bots at all. Using commands such as !list @find !ftp !released etc. greatly annoys many people in the channel and may result in a ban.

Colored text, bold text, underlined text and anything else that is not plain text or /me is strongly discouraged, your point of view is no more or less important than anyone elses.

Many scripts such as polaris, showdown, pizzascript (wtf?), etc. contain annoying away and quit messages, we do not care how much time you wasted on irc or where we can download such a tool that will tell the channel in psychedelic colors when you quit. We also doubt you use the pager features of your script. We would appreciate it if you would disable these features and anything else which has no useful function.

Repeating in the channel is likely to cause the opposite reaction to that which you desire, you are much more likely to get help if you engage in meaningful discussion rather than ask the same question 10 times in 5 minutes.

Posting of warez sites in the channel is not permitted with one exception, if you own the site, which means if there is trouble as a result of the content on the site that you personally would be 100% responsible for the consequences, then you and only you may choose to post it in the channel. There have been previous examples of people getting into trouble because someone they do not even know posted the details of their site in the channel.

Discussion in the channel can become heated at times, argument is an important part of discussion, and #midiwarez is primarily a discussion channel. Differing points of view are what makes discussion interesting, however personal attacks will not be tolerated, if you can not comprehend the difference between well intentioned humor and hurtful attacks then you probably should not participate in discussions.
